Paris
So Paris was AMAZING. We took the train there and stayed in the Latin District for 5 days. We met with publishers, saw the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay, I ate a TON of desserts, had a glass of wine for the first time in a restaurant and saw all the rest of the sites. The beauty, the caricatures of the people, the churches and the art history really hit me. I'm definately in love with this place. It has to be one of the best trips. Oh, and I spent my bank account on European comic books. It was interesting getting those back to Lacoste.lol.
Lacoste
So pretty much, this is where I've been living this quarter. Its a small medieval village that our school restored on a hill overlooking the South of France. Its absolute heaven. Although I have to say, the 45 degree angle cobblestone hills are sometimes a challenge. But I love it here. They work us pretty hard. The cafeteria food is pretty good and theres about 6 people to a room. We go on field trips almost every day and the professors are awesome. So pretty much...its amazing and I'm hoping someday to move to this country.

Pan's Labryinth Studies
So now that I'm back from Paris, France and back in Lacoste, I have a little more time to update the blog. The first update are my pdfs of the Pan's Labyrinth study I did. One of the pdfs is the long version and the other is the short version. They were going to be for my portfolio but I realized there may be copyright issues even if I say its from that movie...plus it doesn't show my picking of scenes. But I'll upload them here. Enjoy!:) http://www.scribd.com/doc/53071742 and http://www.scribd.com/doc/53071803 ....Paris and Lacoste updates coming soon! Au revoir for now!:)

Portfolio
So I have been life drawing all week outdoors but haven't really come up with anything I'm proud of yet. So I'm compiling a mixture of what I have and some film studies that I'm currently working on for the storyboard side. Progress will be uploaded the next time I can get to a scanner (Probably tomorrow). Meanwhile I have set up 3 tumblrs. One is for personal/inspirational use: http://rosered91.tumblr.com/, One is for Gestural Studies/facial expressions that I find: http://humanlife91.tumblr.com/, and the last is for environments and props that would be really cool and/ or really good references: http://enviroprop91.tumblr.com/. There's not much on the last 2 yet, but check them out in the future. They should turn out pretty fun.
